Modern Warfare purchasers are still able to play their game, but it's almost as though it's become a add-on of sorts to Warzone rather than the other way around. It's unusual that a free-to-play game would completely overtake something that players paid money for, but there's thankfully no actual change to what's available in-game. As spotted by PC Gamer, anyone who loads up Activision Blizzard's PC gaming destination will now see that Warzone has completely replaced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare under the " Partner Games" tab, even for those who have purchased and own the full version of the mainline game. So, in that way, it does make sense that Warzone would be the game that Activision wants to promote on the launcher.

However, it is a game firmly rooted in the past (despite its modern setting), so updates for 2019's entry have ceased in favor of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Once you selected the correct folder, the Install button will become the Play button.Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was a huge success in its own right, and many dedicated fans prefer its style of shooting to the latest '80s-inspired entry. If the app shows the Install button but you have already installed your game, you don't have to reinstall. Click on Locate the game below the Install button to select the folder where you installed the game. If you received the game as a gift, talk to the person who gifted you the game. If you purchased the game from a third party retailer, talk to your point of sale. If you purchased the game on the Shop, log in to your Transaction History and check that your order status is Complete. Make sure you are logged in with the correct account email. You can access Modern Warfare through the Warzone client.
The Modern Warfare (2019) title has been rebranded as Warzone. You can install Call of Duty: Warzone through the desktop app.
